It is All About Clean Eating!

We all have been hearing on the news about how food manufacturers are pretty much destroying out quality of food. It is horrific! Here in this article (it will be extensive, but so worth it!), I will try to give as much information about Eating Clean.

It is a fairly new concept to me, and probably is for a lot of people too, so I will try to make it as simple as possible. Clean eating is a way of life. It feeds and fuels our bodies to stay healthy, without all the harsh preservatives and chemicals that we find in a lot of products out there.

By clean eating, one may experience:

  • Weight loss
  • More energy
  • Boost in immunity
  • Decreased risk of certain types of diseases like diabetes, stroke, heart disease and cancers
  • Savings!! Lots of money is being saved here!!

So let’s start looking at the types of foods we will be eating from now on…

I went on Google to find a website that has it simple and written in a way that it is easy to understand so here is a website that prepared a shopping list of foods to buy and renovate the pantry!

This is the best article I found so far that makes it easy for me to go grocery shopping. I will tell you this though, don’t be discouraged and think it is going to be hard or anything like that. At first I was completely intimidated by the list. Just pick what you want.

**HINT: I look up clean eating recipes, and then go grocery shopping. It ensures that I have only what I need in the pantry**

…and now I have a recipe to share! I tried it out and made it!! It came out delicious!!


I will be posting more recipes in time. Lets start making a difference in our lives! This is not a diet. It is a lifestyle, and a very good one too!

Massage Time!

Everyone loves a good massage! I am always so tense on my neck and shoulders. It drives me crazy, but with the help of a massage, I feel back to normal. According to the Mayo Clinic, some benefits of massage are as follows:

  • Anxiety
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia related to stress
  • Soft tissue strains or injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Weight Loss
  • Exfoliation of the body

There are so many more benefits to getting a massage. I love getting 90 minute sessions, and I love combo pressure (a mix of swedish and deep tissue).

Meditation: A few Pointers to Make Life Beautiful

Good Morning Everyone!


Yesterday my mother and my sister came to visit me, and we all went to Sanibel Island, FL to have a girls day out! It was quite an adventure. Beautiful skies, friendly people, boats, jet skis, and sail boats! It all felt like a dream! Well ever since I moved out here, I have been a little home sick. I do not  know anyone over here, I live alone, and I miss my friends back home. So today’s topic really makes me more comfortable in my situation.

Meditation at first can be challenging to accomplish but as time goes by, it gets much easier. I am still a newbie at this, so please do not be rude, just encourage me and correct my mistakes.

This is how I do it:

1. Find a place where I know I will be alone and a place where it is beautiful. (In this case I was on an island on the beach)

2. I sit in criss-cross position with my body as straight as possible and rest my hands on my knees, palms facing up and my thumb and middle finger touching at the tips.

3. I close my eyes and, at first,  think of a color, and focus on that color. My mind is a very cluttered and disastrous place. I once read that to begin meditating, I must focus on one color and every time a thought entered my mind, i focus harder on that color and the thought will go away.

4. Once I am focused on that color for a good amount of time (your body will tell you when you are ready, trust me), I just relax ,and in my case, all I heard was the waves on the ocean, the warm summer breeze flowing through my hair, and smell the salty ocean entering my nose.

5. I then breathe in with my nose and out with my mouth. Ill do this for as long as I like. Some people will just meditate for a few minutes, others will do this for hours. My longest record was just under an hour. Time flew by so fast that I didn’t even realize it.


Look up the benefits of meditation! There are so many. For me, it is a mental vacation, and cleanses my spirit!

Well I was planning on posting once a day, or once every few days, but tonight will be an exception. I just tried to talk to a friend since I am home sick, and they were pretty rude to me so I felt horrible for awhile after that. I am so glad I moved to get a fresh start. Anyways, I am going to do a product review on this.

A Healthy Treat for your Body: Coconut Body Scrub!

I have been handcrafting and selling body products on and off for quite some time and since I am in my “off” phase right now (because I just recently moved from one side of Florida to the other), I am going to release a secret scrub that nourishes the body like no other product. The key ingredient here is coconut!


Some benefits of coconut for the body:

– It is a SUPER FANTASTIC hydrating agent.

– Clears up the skin.

– Antiviral,, antibacterial,  anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic.

Here is the recipe for a good coconut sugar scrub that will make your body look and feel fantastic! This makes one cup of scrub.



  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 TBSP shredded coconut
  • 6-8 drops of Lime Essential Oil


  1. Melt Coconut oil in microwave.
  2. Mix in with the sugar, until fully incorporated.
  3. Add the coconut and the Lime Oil.
  4. Mix together.

***Remember to scrub your body 2-3 times a week. Doing it everyday may irritate your skin! ***
