Happy Shark Week! The Sea is Healing!

Yes sharks can be scary creatures! Yikes! I would not want to be in the way of a hungry shark. (and yes I know, they don’t attack all of the time) The sea on the other hand is a very effective healing agent! Read on!!

The ocean has such an abundant amount of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are essential to us. It is the ultimate healer. If one gets a tattoo, piercing, cut, scrape, or burn, these minerals help make the healing process much faster!

The ocean water also improves elasticity in the skin, helps get rid of dermatitis, reduces the appearance of cellulite, and even helps with weight loss!! Google that!

Another bonus is there is a study that has been proven by drinking small amounts of sea water daily helps boost immunity and helps diminish sickness. Google that too! I am not kidding!

The sand from the beach is such a great exfoliator! Next time you are at the beach, bring a Ziploc bag or a container and get some sand!! (Just make sure there is no litter in it or else it will suck!)

There are so many products out there that use the elements of sand and surf. Get some! It is totally worth it!

I will be watching Shark Week all week! Woohoo!

Massage Time!

Everyone loves a good massage! I am always so tense on my neck and shoulders. It drives me crazy, but with the help of a massage, I feel back to normal. According to the Mayo Clinic, some benefits of massage are as follows:

  • Anxiety
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia related to stress
  • Soft tissue strains or injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Weight Loss
  • Exfoliation of the body

There are so many more benefits to getting a massage. I love getting 90 minute sessions, and I love combo pressure (a mix of swedish and deep tissue).
